Friday Flyer
You will see a familiar face around the club again, welcome back Cliff! We look forward to seeing you around and seeing you build up your strength over the coming weeks during your light duties.
From a personal view point I just wanted to add a huge thanks to Selwyn McLennan and Gary Upchurch. These guys have been instrumental in helping the cafe, golf shop and golf course over the last month. You guys are amazing and I can see this club is built with people like you. Congratualtions to Sharon Bertram on a great Twin Classic recently with her team of organisers, thankful for volunteers who do such a great job. Jeanetta from Admin and myself would also like to extend our thanks to Grant Steel, Danny Mills and Craig Orr for your support while Cliff has been away, thanks Team.
Patron Trophy, I just wanted to go back and offer a congrats to a reasonably new members Zoe and Stephen Palmer, our club is so grateful to have a new influx of new members and hopefully these events help make you feel welcome at the club and will encourage more growth here. Ladies Captain Carol Taylor has spoken very highly of your golf game, thanks Carol for making them feel welcome.
In the golf shop we will be heading into shorter hours from April, so this means closing at 5pm each day. A few sales will be coming up so keep your eyes peeled!!

Playing Group Reports
9 Hole Ladies. It was a chilly start for the 20 ladies playing the front nine on Centennial. However the sun soon came out and some good golf was played.
Congratulations to Monday's competition (strokeplay) winners:
1st. Kirste Byloo
2nd. Jean Jensen
3rd = Di Eccles and Tessa Hall
Nearest to the pin on 3 and winner of a Liquorland voucher was Claire Thompson.
Taupo Golf Vet Women. A good day for golf on 14th March. A bit warmer than last week, cloudy and dry. We played a stableford off the terracotta tees. How is it that you shorten the course by 30% and most of the field come in with a score in the 20s. However, 4 standout ladies did well. Michelle Wedekind 1st with 36, on countback from Julie Meiring also with 36, Wynn Murdock 3rd with 35 and Colleen Tillson 4th with 32. Well done ladies. Viv Wrathall came in bemoaning her poor score but then walked away with the Tremaines Real Estate voucher for the longest putt and raffle prize. Anna Reece won the other half of the raffle So Cheryl Hughes won the Baku/Vine voucher for nearest the pin on hole 3 and Michelle Wedekind ( her again!) won the Liquorland voucher for the same As always, many thanks to our generous sponsors for their continued support.
