Along with YouTravel Taupo I am hosting a 4 day trip to the best golf courses in Queenstown the weekend prior to the NZ Open in Feb 2024. I am inviting any Taupo Golf Members to join me. Steve from YouTravel Taupo has put together a fantastic trip to prepare you to then go and watch the NZ Open that week. The highlights include playing the NZ Open course at Millbrook right before it closes for the tournament, as well as the spectacular Jacks Point and finishing at the Greg Turner designed Cromwell course where the NZ Open Preq will be at. The day after the golf tour finishes I will then have a crack at the Prequalifying for the NZ Open myself. So sign up today with Steve from YouTravel and be on the journey with me.

Tremendous Signup numbers

I am happy to say we have had tremendous numbers sign up for the Liquorland Gin & Golf starting on Thursday 26th Oct. Callum will be hosting this first session along with a few helpers. If you are keep on golf this Thursday afternoon and not involved in this event, be sure to head out on Centennial as Tauhara will be closed for the Twlight Series / Gin & Golf from 3pm.

What is Gin & Golf?

This has been setup to attract any new ladies to come and try golf with no rules. On arrival the ladies checkin and get a welcome drink supplied by our great club sponsor Liquorland. The ladies will be given a short clinic as they arrive on a part of the game, this week is chipping. Then we form groups and have a multi tee start from 5:15-5:30pm on Tauhara this week. The aim is to play 6 holes ambrose. To start with we might only get 3-4 holes in, but as the 8 weeks progress the goal is to get to 6 holes by 7pm, then meet in the club house. Spot prizes are given out during the term so keep an eye out for that.

Order your new clubs before Xmas

Be sure to sign up for a free club fitting session before Xmas so we can get your clubs to you before the busy season kicks into gear. Keep a look out in the shop for Aerojet and AirX clubs from Cobra, the forgiveness is great. Limited spots available.
